Royal Mail Postal Rate / Price Change updates

The Royal Mail change their postage prices upto a few times per if you include parcel force rates. As most franking machines have built in postal scales the franking machine will need an update which your equipment supplier will provide. (Sometimes at considerable cost!)

Recrediting / Postage Top up transaction charges

On average most customers top their franking machine up with postage once per month. When download postage most suppliers apply a recrediting charge to your top ups.

Ink Cartridges

Franking machine ink cartridges are not usually available from your local ink provider. As such you need to purchase them from your supplier. Beware as these can be very expensive with one manufacturer charging over £150 for a basic HP45 red ink cartridge.

  • Top ups up to £100 postage charged at £6.00
  • Top ups between £101 and £1200 postage charged at £13.00

***Frama Recrediting is charged at £30 per 6 months, postage price updates are charged at £65 each. Frama operate with different levels of service agreements with their higher priced ones including recrediting and Royal Mail postage price rate updates.
